Our Island Story
A beachfront sanctuary where tropical nature, warm hospitality and the spirit of Gili Air come together as one.
Born from a Love of
Island Life
Bel Air Resort & Spa Gili Air was born from a simple but powerful vision — to create a place where guests could truly escape the rush of everyday life and reconnect with something pure, natural and beautiful.
Nestled directly on the beachfront of Gili Air, the smallest and most serene of the three Gili Islands, the resort was built with deep respect for the island's natural environment and the warm spirit of its local community.
The name Bel Air — meaning "beautiful air" or "fresh air" in French — captures the very essence of what we offer: a place to breathe, to feel free and to be fully present in one of the most spectacular natural settings in all of Indonesia.
From the first sunrise over Mount Rinjani to the last sea turtle spotted from the shoreline, every moment at Bel Air is designed to leave a lasting impression on your heart.
Gili Air — A Car-Free
Tropical Paradise
Gili Air is the closest of the three Gili Islands to Lombok's mainland — a small, car-free island where horses and bicycles are the only means of transport. Life here moves at a different pace, governed by tides, sunrises and the rhythm of the sea.
The island is world-famous for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs and abundant marine life — most famously its population of resident sea turtles, which guests can encounter directly from our resort beach.
Surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Lombok Strait, with Mount Rinjani — one of Indonesia's most iconic volcanoes — watching over from the mainland, Gili Air offers a landscape that is simply unforgettable.

Spectacular sunrises over Rinjani and golden sunsets over the horizon daily.
